 Computer Concepts & Mouse Skills  1 day Introduction to terminology regarding a computer. Explaining Input and Output devices with their purpose. Introducing File handling, using Windows. Copy and Paste between packages. Get to know the keyboard. How to use the mouse. A Freeware Typing program is included on the Exercise CD. The course covers MICT Unit Standard: 117925
 Internet  1 day Familiarise the user with Internet concepts and usage. Using Search engines and give the user enough tools to search topics on the Internet. Copy and Paste articles or graphic images. Using the Internet to do research on a topic. The course covers MICT Unit Standard: 116931
 Keyboard Skills (Shareware Typing Tutor included)  1 day This course introduces a user to typing on a keyboard. The layout of the keyboard, and the functions of keys are explained. The course can either be used for first time users of a computer, or to help people increase their typing speed. An easy to use Free Ware Typing Tutor: ‘Kiran’s Typing Tutor’ is supplied on a CD. This installs very easily on Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8. The course covers the introduction to Computer Literacy , i.e. MICT Unit Standard: 116932. The Computer Concepts course should be taught in conjunction with this course.
 Windows Basic  1 day The course covers the basics of electronic file handling, working with different windows, dialog boxes and controls. It also explains computers concepts. This is a SAQA level 1 course and covers MICT Unit Standard: 116932, 117902 and 11786
 Refresher and Assessment  1 day Should it be required that the delegates be assessed on any of the courses above, a one day Refresher Course and Assessment could be scheduled. Delegates will be issued a Certificate upon the successful completion of the assessment

 MS Excel Basic  1 day The course introduces Excel at an elementary level, introducing the first time user to Excel. Features covered: using the Excel screen; navigation between cells, sheets and workbooks and how to enter data; basic calculations and formulae; saving of data, and finding saved documents; editing and printing spreadsheet information. The course covers MICT Unit Standard: 116937
 MS Excel Intermediate  1 day Using an Excel spreadsheet to solve a specific outcome, using formulae and functions and using features like charts to enhance a spreadsheet. This course concentrates on formatting of data and displaying information in a professional manner. The course covers MICT Unit Standards: 116937 , 116940 and 116943
 MS Excel Advanced  2 day This course focuses on customizing and automating repetitive actions. Advanced Formulae and functions are enforced by numerous exercises. The course covers MICT Unit Standard: 116940
 MS Excel Power User  1 day This course focuses on more advanced functions, array formulae, Pivot tables and macros. The course does not cover Visual Basic for applications. The course is not financial specific. The course covers MICT Unit Standard: 116940
 MS Excel Pivot Tables and Macros  1 day This course focuses on more advanced features of Pivot tables and macros. The course does not cover Visual Basic for applications, but the delegates will be introduced to simple modifications in VBA. The course covers MICT Unit Standard: 116940
 MS Excel Introduction to VBA (workshop)  3 day This course is an introduction to Visual Basic for Applications using Excel. Macros are automated and edited using Visual Basic. Programming structures and programming principals are introduced at a beginners level.
 MS Excel Functions and Formulas  2 day This course is aimed at people who would like to learn how to use the various functions within Excel to solve problems. We go into depth with functions to solve problems such as Calculating Age, Shortcut keys for formulas and graphs, Percentages, Calculating Time, Creating Time sheets for flexi time, Working out your most frequent orders/sales, Lookups, Automatic time/date updates and many more. The course covers MICT Unit Standards: 11640

 MS Access Basic  1 day The course concentrates on designing tables in a database, setting up relationships between the tables and setting up lookups between the tables. Table properties are explained in detail. Linking/Importing from other applications is also covered. Sample database templates are used for illustration. The user is introduced to queries, forms and reports. Delegates will be created a simple database during the course to illustrate all the features of a database.  MS Access Intermediate  1 day This course concentrates on the design of queries. Forms and Reports are handled on an introductory level only. The course covers MICT Unit Standard: 116936
 MS Access Advanced  2 day This course concentrates on Form and Report Design. Overview on Table design and Query Design. In this course the delegates would be expected to design a simple integrated database, consisting of tables, queries, forms, reports and macros. The course covers MICT Unit Standard: 116936 and 117927

 MS PowerPoint Basic  1 day The course introduces PowerPoint at an elementary level, introducing the first time user to PowerPoint. The course explains how to use the different slides and how to move and navigate between slides and how to view the presentation. The course covers MICT Unit Standard: 117923
 MS PowerPoint Intermediate  1 day This course covers enhancements to slide shows, such as animation and using graphics. It illustrates using slides with different design templates in one presentation. Automation of slides shows enables you to run a slide show until it is stopped. Creating your own design templates and creating your own pictures are also covered. Linking Excel data for charts is also illustrated. The course covers MICT Unit Standard: 116930
 MS PowerPoint Advanced  1 day This course covers more advanced features of PowerPoint, i.e. using media clips, music and a microphone to record voice narrations. Linking between Word, Excel and other PowerPoint presentations are illustrated. The course covers custom slide shows (having one presentation that can be shown to different groups of people, using different slides. The course also focuses on designing your own templates and macros (for automation) are also introduced. The course covers MICT Unit Standard: 117923 and 116930

 MS Word Basic  1 day The course introduces Word at an elementary level, introducing the first time user to MS Word. Features covered: using the Word screen, using paragraphs and paragraph formatting, bulleted /numbered lists, finding documents, finding/replacing words/phrases, using shortcuts, page formatting, headers and footers.  MS Word Intermediate  1 day The course covers most of the essential formatting and layout tools available in Word. Mail merge and tables are covered extensively. The user should be able to use Word effectively after completing this course. The course covers MICT Unit Standards117924 and 119078 and 116942
 MS Word Advanced  2 day The course will enable a person to use a word processor with confidence. It covers formatting of documents extensively, i.e. using section breaks to use different headers and footers and even different page orientation in one document. It also covers the use of styles and coping styles from one document to another. The course also handles automation i.e. auto text and macros and hyperlinks. Using Mail Merge to email documents to a group of people is illustrated. The course covers MICT Unit Standards117924 and 119078 and 116942
 Refresher and Assessment  1 day Should it be required that the delegates be assessed on any of the courses above, a one day Refresher Course and Assessment could be scheduled. Delegates will be issued a Certificate upon the successful completion of the assessment

 MS Projects Basic and Intermediate  2 day The course introduces MS Project at an elementary level and then goes on to creating a project using most of the features available. The course is often presented in one day, if the delegates have a good understanding of how a project is handled. The course covers MICT Unit Standard: 120385
 MS Projects Advanced  2 day The course enables a person to design a project from start to end, using as much of the features available in the program to ensure an efficient flow of a project. The course covers MICT Unit Standard: 120385
